FAQ Concerning ClearCorrect® If you have teeth that are crooked, crowded, or overlap each other, you may feel less confident about the way your smile looks. You may worry that straightening a crooked smile is only for teenagers wearing metal braces. However, ClearCorrect® can be a solution for misaligned smiles for teenagers and adults. Straightening your smile can be important not only for your confidence, but for the health of your smile, too! We are answer many of the most commonly asked questions concerning ClearCorrect® treatment.

Q: Are the aligners one size fits all?

Answer: Aligners are custom designed for your unique smile. The first step will be to a careful examination of your smile with detailed digital impressions using intraoral cameras. The detailed images will then be used by experts to create a series of aligners from a clear, BPA-free acrylic material for your treatment.

Q: How long will I have to wear them?

Answer: During treatment, you will need to wear the aligner for at least 20 hours per day. Every two weeks, you will upgrade to a new set of the aligners designed to gradually and gently reposition your teeth. The total treatment time will depend on the cause and extent of misalignment, but typical treatment ranges from a year to eighteen months. You can take them out before you eat or drink. You can also take them out prior to brushing and flossing, which makes caring for your smile easier than smile care with traditional metal braces.

Q: Is treatment clunky and noticeable?

Answer: Because they are custom-designed for your smile, people often find the aligners to be a comfortable fit. The acrylic aligners are nearly invisible in photographs and hard to notice in person. The discreet treatment make it a great choice for adults who want to straighten their teeth without everyone knowing that they are undergoing orthodontic treatment.
