Circuit of Americas has been transformed into a glittering winter wonderland filled with over one million lights. The tower is now a giant candy cane soaring above the racetrack. Along with the lights, the Winter Wonderland will include Santa’s Workshop, a hot air balloon, carnival rides, singing Christmas trees, and a petting zoo that includes camel rides. There was a special preview last weekend on December 1st and 2nd, but the main opening will take place this weekend on December 8th. The Wonderland will be open from 6 to 10 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and 6 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission to the experience is $16 per person, which does includes parking. Children under the age of 5 years old get free admission. Admission includes your walk around the Circuit of the Americas racing track, which will be surrounded by Christmas lights, and a Human Snow Globe. The lawns will feature Christmas music. Admission will not cover the extras, such as the petting zoo, train rides, the synthetic ice skating rink, rides, or the hot air balloon float. You can get a free train ride by bringing a book to donate to the Pizza Hut Book It program. On December 9th, you can get into the Wonderland thirty minutes early by bringing donations to the Coca-Cola Harvey Relief Care Package. Items needed include non-perishable food, toys, and non-liquid cleaning supplies. Donation receptacles will be near the entry gates.
