Community Events
- Springdale Farm Market Days: Springdale Farms will be hosting market days from now until May 2017. The farm is located on 4.83 acres at 755 Springdale Road, just three miles east of the state capitol. The market is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9am until 1pm. Admission is free. You can choose from 75 different seasonal vegetables and the farm accepts EBT.
- Dinosauria: The Art.Science.Gallery will be hosting a Dinosauria exhibit from now until November 26th on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Admission is free and you can find out more details by calling 512-522-8278. The gallery is located at 916 Springdale Road, Building 2 #102 Austin, TX 78702. The exhibit features contemporary artists creating artistic and scientific representations of dinosaurs from the Triassic all the way to the Cretaceous period. On Saturday, November 26th they will be screening a documentary about dinosaurs at 4pm. Admission for the documentary is also free to the public.
- State of Deception: The Bullock Texas State History Museum will be presenting an exhibit called “State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda”. Admission is between $9 and $13 and the exhibit will be open from now until January 8th. The Museum is located at 1800 North Congress Avenue. The exhibit explores the impact of Nazi propaganda in Germany and throughout the world. There will be rare artifacts, historic film footage, and even first person interviews.
