This Weekend In Austin

  1. Every Thursday morning at the Little Yoga House (the Village) has a drop-in yoga class for parents and toddlers to do together. This yoga class is for toddlers (age 18m to 3yrs) and parents to learn and enjoy the benefits of yoga together. It also gives parents the opportunity to see how their child interacts with other children and the teacher. Animated poses, music, toys, and props can help toddlers develop good listening skills.
  2. An ongoing exhibit, Love In Broken Places, focuses on found and re-purposed objects to create pieces of love and hope.The exhibit is at the Williamson Museum until February 24th.
  3. The Long Center for Performing Arts and Austin Shakespeare presents Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull through February 25th in Rollins Studio Theater. The beautiful heartfelt story is a new adaptation set in 19th Century Russia focusing on the love between a budding playwright and a young actress. In her Austin Shakespeare debut, local actress Tyler Layton will take on the role of the acclaimed actress, Irina Arkadina.
  4. On Thursday at 8:00 p.m., Bass Concert Hall and Broadway Austin presents School of Rock, which is on tour. School of Rock is a critically acclaimed and super-fun Broadway experience. The high-octane smash features original music.
