The LBJ Presidential Library is hosting a Summer Storytime series for children. Each storytime will feature a different children’s book. The books are best suited for children under the age of 10 years old. Each storytime will feature a different reader for the book. The readers will include authors and local figures. A hands-on activity follows the readings. This Tuesday, July 25th features author, Kathi Appelt, and illustrator, Joy Fisher Hein, of the book, Miss Lady Bird’s Wildflowers: How a First Lady Changed America. The ideal age for this particular reading is second grade or seven-years-old. The next reading on August 11th, will feature a reading by the chief of the Austin Fire Department, Rhoda Mae Kerr.
