Texas is home to some of the most beautiful, exotic, and diverse nature in America. From the soaring, majestic birds that fly high above, to the sly and scaly reptiles that slither around and every critter in between. Come and celebrate it for Texas Wildlife Day on Saturday, January 28th, at the Texas Memorial Museum. It’s free admission for you and your whole family to come discover and appreciate Texas’s varied and gorgeous wildlife as well as participate in fun activities.

Fun For Everyone

There will be many free activities hosted by experts including UT Austin scientists, TMM science educators, and members of the Capital Area, Good Water, and Lost Pines chapters of Texas Master Naturalists. Activities will include:

  • Bird Bill Bonanza
  • Fishes of Texas
  • Batty About Bats
  • Making a Pine Cone Bird Feeder
  • Who Comes Out at Night?
  • Reptile Style Skeletons
  • Tracks Across Texas
