Austin is home to one of the greatest music scenes in the entire world. It has a rich heritage of amazing and respected artists such as Willie Nelson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and many others. To celebrate this, the Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association will be throwing their 10th annual Hall of Fame awards show on Sunday, February 21st at 7pm. The Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association Hall of Fame honors those who embody the spirit of Texas and its distinctive culture through song. This year’s inductees will be Roy Orbison, JD Souther, Joe Ely, and Will Jennings. Renowned songwriters and recording artists such as The Mavericks’ frontman Raul Malo, Rita Coolidge, 2016 Grammy Award nominee Rodney Crowell, and Robert Earl Keen will be on hand to perform hits by all of those that will be honored.
