Every year in Texas, from the end of March through most of April (which means the season is almost over!), bluebonnets pop up all over the place. Are you part of a family that grabs the family to go take photos among the beautiful fields of wildflowers? There are some great spots around Austin for you to take a gander at our beautiful state flower. Austin Prosthodontics and Dr. Carmona are proud to serve the smiles across this wonderful community of Austin, Texas.
Local Spots To Find Bluebonnets
- Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail: the bluebonnets can be found farther south along the Hike & Bike trail. There is parking in the school lot on weekends near Austin High School at 1715 Cesar Chavez Street. Follow the trail towards the baseball fields of the high school to find a large patch of wildflowers just beyond the fields.
- Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center: There are multiple spots at the botanical gardens to find beautiful bluebonnets. The Wildflower Center does have an admission fee of $10/adult and $4/youth. If you are planning to bring a professional photographer, there is an additional fee.
- Circle C Metropolitan Park: The park located at 6301 W Slaughter Lane has large patches of bluebonnets along the trails of the park.
- Balcones Disctrict Park: The park is located in North Austin at 12017 Amherst Drive. There are a couple of large fields of bluebonnets to be found here.
