New Year’s Eve is fast-approaching. You may be the type of person who enjoys staying home and sitting on the couch. You could be the type of person that enjoys a small gathering of friends. If you are looking for a family-friendly event that you can safely take the kids to, Austin’s New Year 2018 presented by the Austin Convention Center could be for you. The event includes tons of music from bands like Brownout, Ian Moore Band, Tomar and The FCs, and Magna Carda. Three stages will feature live music. Other acts include Charlie Faye & The Fayettes, Money Chicha, Jane Ellen Bryant, The Watters, Kalu & The Electric Joint, and James Junius. The celebration will showcase a variety of art installations, including The Pathway to enLIGHTENment. The Pathway to enLIGHTENment is a featured work of lights under a canopy of trees. The New Year celebration will also feature entertainment and activities for children, food trucks, and fireworks. Drugs and alcohol are not permitted at the event. Pets are allowed as long as they are on a leash and non-aggressive.
