If you are not already registered or planning to run the Austin Spooktober 5K, you can still attend the Austin Spooktober Fest after the run/walk. There will also be a Kids K for the kids to participate in. The Fall Festival is open for everyone and no registration is required to attend. Tickets will be available on the day of the event. The Spooktober 5K is a chip-timed run with registration that includes a tee shirt, a race bib, and tickets to the Fall Festival. The run will take place around the Austin State Supported Living Center, and the proceeds will benefit the 184 residents who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you are not registered to run, tickets to the Fall Festival will be available for purchase for $1 and wristbands will be available for unlimited access to activities. Food and drink will be purchased separately. Food trucks from Juice Austin and FryDeez will be there. Games and drawings for great prizes will be featured, as well as activities like a Games2U mobile arcade, arts & crafts, bounce house, a giant hamster ball, a petting zoo, a photo booth, carnival games, and face painting. Carnival concessions like popcorn and cotton candy will be available. A special lounge will be available for sports fans to watch the college football games going on during the event. The Festival will also include a marketplace for artisans and artists to sell art, handmade jewelry, crafts, and more.
